Q: What is a HUBZone?
A: HUBZone is a United States Small Business Administration program for small companies that operate and employ people in Historically Under-utilized Business Zones. The HUBZone program was created in response to the HUBZone Empowerment Act created by the US Congress in 1998. The federal government's goal is to award at least three percent of all federal contracting dollars to HUBZone-certified small businesses each year. Colorful Dots, LLC is certified as a HUBZone company by the Small Business Administration (SBA.gov) which provides a 10 percent price evaluation preference in full and open contract competitions.
