  • Assist with coordinating the integration and testing of a System of Systems.
  • Identify the appropriate sequence and scheduling of integration efforts for Public Safety IT subsystems;
  • Determine the external interfaces requirements necessary to support subsystem integration and testing, and arrange to simulate or supply them as necessary;
  • Identify any resources needed to conduct the integration and test functions, including identifying staffing requirements, tools and test equipment, and external vendor support;
  • Coordinate, monitor and control all technical activities needed to support integration with the project and program management team;
  • Lead technical discussions in integration planning and review meetings and managing the action items;
  • Identify and run test scenarios for software, hardware, devices and endpoints
  • Assist in the coordination with project leads and subcontractors to identify, assemble, and review all required Interface Control Documents for the Program;
  • Identify system level use cases and test cases targeted at interface validation, as well as assisting the SDE team, project leads, and subcontractors in setting up and testing the interfaces in the SDE;
  • Verify all interfaces in the production environment and subsequently augmenting the Test team to perform all end to end System Integration Testing;
  • Understand and plan the transition of legacy systems to a multi-function ESINET core;
  • Test all interfaces between legacy E911 and NG911 systems
  • Participate in the development and testing of all legacy call handling to NG call handling systems;

NOTE: This position may be remote during the COVID-19 pandemic. It may resume on-site when the pandemic is over.

  • Background in Public Safety communications technologies (9-1-1 telephony, Land Mobile Radio, Computer Aided Dispatch systems, Logging and Recording)
  • Understanding of computer interfaces, IP networks, GUIs
  • Exposure to Public Safety systems
  • Proactive approach to problem solving any issue, both technical and non-technical, with strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
  • Understanding of the systems development life cycle
  • 12+ yrs of experience in system designing, system integration or project engineering on a large scale infrastructure program or integration effort
  • A practical working knowledge of ICDs, Use Cases, Test Cases, Test Procedures development is required
  • Previous integration / test experience on a large system is required
  • Strong analytical as well as verbal and written communications skills is required
